Game Rooms
Game Room is a social gaming service offered by Microsoft on its Xbox 360 video game console and Games for Windows PCs. The service allows players to use a virtual arcade to play both arcade and console games downloaded through downloadable game packs. Players may access these games on a limited, free trial basis (limited to ten minutes of gameplay), or on a game-by-game basis with purchase. Most Game Room games offer a classic mode, but many have other gameplay options.
A game room’s decor and layout is influenced by the type of games played in the space. For example, a room that features large equipment like ping pong tables or foosball tables will require plenty of seating for spectators to prevent injury or unnecessary distraction during the game.
